Описание: A very common method for disciplining prairie dogs is to put them in their cage after an offense like biting. The general rule of thumb is that you put them back in their cage for 4 to 6 hours and ignore them completely. I have always had issue with that. It just didn't sit right with me. If you've seen my kids cage, it's a palace! I don't know how that could possibly be "punishment" to them. But aside from that, I recently read a book where the author, a veterinarian said that is torturous for prairie dogs, to leave them alone for several hours, because they are such a social animal. So this is an alternative method to the old-time method of putting them in their cage for time-out. By the way, this is Betty. She is 3 years old and is by far my sweetest of the four up until about a week ago and then she kinda lost her mind and I don't know what's going on. I'm trying to figure it out.
