For Day 23 of Vlogmas, I found myself thinking about winter traditions beyond Christmas ❄️✨
I’ve been so focused on Christmas throughout Vlogmas (and living in the UK, it’s very much the winter tradition here), but it got me wondering how winter is marked in other parts of the world. In this video, I chat through different winter festivals, seasonal traditions, and ways people come together across cultures — from solstice celebrations and festivals of light to places where winter looks and feels completely different.
This isn’t a deep dive or a perfectly polished explainer — more of a curious, conversational wander through how winter is experienced around the world, and how ideas of light, family, renewal, and community show up in different ways.
