ABUSE | "Forgive" Live Music Video (1993)

This is one I put together for the band while I was a full time news videographer at WLOX and had access to editing equipment! I started at the station in the spring of '91 and by '93, was shooting and editing news stories, 5 days a week and had developed some tasty editing chops and had the tools to get videos put together,... way before anybody else had access to that stuff. At the tender age of 20, Dan Ram had become dangerous with a camera... after intense on the job training by some of the best videographers in the entire state including Bobby Allen and Mike Philippe of "Page 13". Back in those days, I also had made freelance business cards that said, "Sure Shot Productions" so all the ABUSE boys just started calling me Sure Shot. So, this video was taken from footage of the second ABUSE show to happen at Gulfport Jaycees Hall on August 14, 1993. Another all ages BANGER, even more intense than the first and with waaay better sound, stage lighting and on-stage FEROCITY from an even TIGHTER and well rehearsed ABUSE. That first Jaycees Hall gig, I would classify as "good clean fun!" This one however, was completely ON SWOLE! You can see Jeremy 13 is just KILLING IT onstage at full force and the whole band is on a whole 'nother level from where they were, just 6 months prior. Amazing times to see the band developing from show to show and crushing it long before they ever left the coast. I was pretty happy with the outcome on this vid and layered up some of the best stage diving action and moments into one feature for a pretty cool watch but, I can assure you, kids... the un-cut, straight roll from this show, is a 5 star BARN-BURNER that ALL ABUSE Fans definitely need to see!
