Pinaupong Manok Recipe | Roasted Chicken in Salt - Philippines Classic Recipe
Ingredients:
1.2 Kilos - Fresg Chicken (rub 1/4 cup coarse salt in & out the Chicken)
3 cups - coarse salt
1 sq foot - banana leaf
***Steaming Rack
Chicken Marinade
10 pcs - spicy chilis
1 & 1/2 - head garlic
2 slices - crushed ginger
1/2 head - white onion
1/3 cup - lemon juice
2 tbsp - ground black pepper
1/2 cup - dark soy sauce
2/3 cup - 7 up
2 tbsp - liquid seasoning
Dipping Sauce:
onion or shallot, spicy chili, lemon juice, liquid seasoning or any soy sauce of your choice
***adjust taste as per liking
Cooking time: approximately 1 hour
