Godfrey and Alton FDs arrived in time to save most of the structure. One resident inhaled smoke but evacuated. They are temporarily displaced. Hoping for a speedy recovery with no ill side effects resulting from the fire. The house is 6 away from where I live.
I really wish I had another camera with a wide angle lens, like John B. had with him. In my defense, that's his job and I'm a chaser.
You can see the damage to the vehicles in the garage. This incident made me ponder my own garage, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, etc.
I went back and forth over the Jenkins clip as I don't want to disrespect the family. I confirmed the homeowners were safe and passed that on to an authority who asked.
