In February 2024 I was lucky enough to be sponsored by Unite Wales, Montgomeryshire Branch, to join the Cuba Solidarity Campaign's Cycle Cuba Tour. Due to the illegal 66 year embargo by the USA, Cuba has struggled to develop and suffers immensely. Yet despite this choke hold by the US and its subordinate allies, Cuba offers free and comprehensive healthcare and education to all its citizens, and sends health professionals around the world. Our group took medical and educational supplies to numerous facilities to help in some small way. Everyone we met was overjoyed to see the support offered to the Cuban people, and were friendly and generous to us all.
As you will see, Cuba is a beautiful country with beautiful people, and a must see destination.
