The Park Theatre was constructed and opened in 1938.
It functioned as a movie house for many years before closing.
After a period of sitting idle, the Cox family purchased the theatre in 1993.
The Cox family refurbished the building.
Post-refurbishment, the venue was reopened as The Liberty Opry.
The Liberty Opry is a live, Branson-style musical entertainment venue.
