There has been a lot of talk on the Mexican YouTube channels recently about how it's becoming more difficult to move to Mexico using only a tourist visa, something which used to be very common among foreigners who weren't quite sure how long they were going to stay here. While we still know plenty of people who have been given a 180 day tourist visa after landing, we wanted to show you our journey through the application, paperwork and appointments necessary to get our temporary residency visa to live legally and long-term in Mexico, in case you're looking to do the same!
