How to Install Mods in Scrap Mechanic Survival (Steam Workshop)

Описание: This tutorial shows you how to install mods in Scrap Mechanic Survival from the Steam Workshop. I also show how to manually install Scrap Mechanic mods, how to uninstall mods, how to backup your worlds, and even how to enable devmode.

Mods are awesome and can make Scrap Mechanic a lot more interesting. However, installing mods can be a bit overwhelming to beginners. I'll explain step by step how to install a mod from the Steam Workshop. As an example, I'll be installing the Backb0t Craftp4ck mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...

After that, I will show you how to manually install Scrap Mechanic mods. Sometimes mods require you to do a little more than just copy-pasting files. As an example, I will change line 100 from 'if g_survivalDev then' to 'if true then', which is how to enable devmode in Scrap Mechanic. The file can be found here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Survival\Scripts\game\SurvivalGame.lua

Next, I show how to uninstall Scrap Mechanic mods. Go to your Steam library and right-click on Scrap Mechanic. Select 'Properties', then 'local files', and click 'verify integrity of game files'. Once the process is done, all game files will be restored to the original game files.

Lastly, I show how to backup your worlds. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and R. This should open a run command window. Type in '%appdata%' and press Enter. Navigate to the 'Axolot Games' folder, then 'Scrap Mechanic', and 'User'. Now you need to select the folder with your user id, which usually is the only folder.
If you open the 'Save' folder, you will find all of your creative world save files. The survival worlds are located in the 'Survival' folder. Copy the worlds you want to backup and save them in a backup folder or wherever you like.
