Today we have another guest: Jonny from Auckland, New Zealand.
I asked Jonny about coming to Japan, studying Japanese and snowboarding.
Stick News: Earthquake in Japan
A few explanations if you don't speak Japanese:
Jonny said he want's to do "arubaito" which means "casual work" (comes from the German word arbeit).
The embarrassing situation story ... "anko" means "sweet red bean paste" -- "unko" means "shit". There is a kind of pastry/sweet bun thing in Japan called "anpan" -- which is sweet bread with anko inside. A guy (one of my boyfriend's friends) went to a bakery and asked in Japanese: "これは中にうんこですか kore wa naka ni unko desu ka". He was trying to say "does this have anko inside it?" But what he said was (with bad Japanese grammar): "Does this have shit inside it?"
