Reyn Speed Shop's S85-Powered BMW E31 858 CSL Carbon Widebody Restomod

Описание: Over the course of four years and countless man-hours, what was once a bone-stock White E31 850 has transformed into this: a completely reimagined E31 858.

Rey Rivera, recognized as an expert in all things BMW, conceived the idea of turning this E31 into something BMW would never dare to attempt. With expert assistance from automotive designer @jonsibal, this E31 features elements inspired by some of the most iconic pieces of BMW design—E30 box flares, an E46 M3 CSL front bumper, and more. Jon took all these influences, matched them perfectly to the body style, and Rey and his team brought it to life.

This E31 goes far beyond its looks. Beneath its carbon body hides the remnants of an E60 M5 donor car, retaining all the stock electrical components, subframes, suspension, and, of course, the drivetrain. The stock S85 engine from the E60 was taken to the next level by the team at @carbahnmotors, who upgraded the 5.0L V10 to a 5.8L stroker V10. To enhance the engine sound, a carbon intake from @eventuri was added.

With everything else covered, the interior could not be overlooked. Rey and his team wrapped the entire interior in black leather, including the manual E36 Vaders that he installed. To further merge the E60 and E31, the iDrive system, climate controls, dash, and accessory buttons were all integrated into the iconic E31 dashboard. To top it all off, this car features a 6-speed manual transmission. This conversion was supported by our team at PSI, who also assisted with many of the coding and wiring procedures, helping to complete this build as the ultimate grand touring vehicle.
