Located just 7 miles south of Washington, D.C., Alexandria (known as Belhaven during colonial times) is a city on the shores of the Potomac river in Fairfax county, Virginia. In this video, walk with me through the historical Old Town district and waterfront, which today serves as the main hub of retail and dining in the area. In comparison to the capital, Alexandria is a more laid-back, quiet city making it a desirable residential spot for people working in Washington.
