So I did some digging around and found that o2's brilliant and creative Planet ad from way back in 05 cut's off the music in the original ad at the end, preventing you from hearing the full background track which often happens with music made for ad's or infomercials (composers tend to compose a full piece then fit it around the ad) so anyways, found out that in Germany, they showed and let you listen to the full piece (to some extent) in an musical artist's compilation, trouble was, it featured a narrator talking over the said extension so I cleaned up the audio, removed the narrator's chatter and compiled it together to match the original ad piece.
There was also another variation of the music that featured a drum and sounded like a sort of dance mix. It was used to explain the Telefonica service download store at the time for o2 user's to download selected music tracks from artist's on the service so I took that and cleaned it up too.
In total, I compiled the original, along with the other two. It's not perfect due to the way it's being edited and the like but it's a lot better now that the original can be heard in it's almost full majesty (part of it is still lost media since there was too much noise like crowd SFX and other instrument like noise and reverb to get the fade out part but it's a lot more complete now.
Man, I so miss the visuals of ad's such as this from o2 and many other brands from the later 90's to the early 2000's. There was a stylistic sort of design brief to each one in that period. Although each one had a few differences for example, different approaches to a said ad, there was always a sort of blue like colour filter hue to the ads from that period that was uniform or homogenous (as much as I hate that word) but, it actually worked here. Very experimental, very unique and very Y2K or Frutiger in the latter years. o2 is now a sad shell of it's former self, very bland, very homogenous and flat like corporate like most other brands out there. No individuality or anything, unlike web design of the early 2000's where everything was different and unique and stood out.
Not sure what creative are being hired by them now but, they can't match up to the leads of that decade.
I hope you enjoy, no one else on here seems to of done this. Perhaps because it's quite obscure?
