Joey Barton charged over Huyton GOLF CLUB ATTACK and will appear in court TODAY

Описание: Joey Barton is due in court on Tuesday afternoon after being charged with wounding with intent following an alleged assault. Barton was arrested alongside another man after an incident near Huyton and Prescot Golf Club on Sunday evening.

Merseyside Police were called to the scene around 9pm on Sunday. Officers found a man with injuries to his face and ribs, who was taken to hospital for further treatment.

The victim remains in hospital in a "serious but stable condition", police said.

Merseyside Police said in a statement: "We can confirm that two men have been charged following an assault in Huyton on Sunday night, 8 March.
