Anti-Gangster Task Force and SAS Nagar Police arrested four operatives linked to the foreign-based Goldy Dhillon gang after an encounter near the Dera Bassi–Ambala highway. The accused opened fire during the search operation, prompting retaliatory action in which two gang members were injured. Police recovered seven .32 calibre pistols and 70 live cartridges. The group was allegedly planning targeted attacks in the Tricity and Patiala regions.
