How To Ranch Slicksters With Automation In ONI: Spaced Out! Sandbox Showcase #45

Описание: Welcome to Sandbox Showcase! In this series, I talk about various problems in Oxygen Not Included and how I've solved them with my own designs in previous streamed and non-streamed runs, by building them in Sandbox mode.

In this video, I talk about how to set up Slickster Ranches using automation to allow new Slicksters to be dropped automatically into ranches without Duplicants having to move them around with droppers. Slicksters move in quite mysterious ways so we've developed some oily shafts from them to slide along so that they all end up in the right rooms. Slicksters are remarkable for eating Carbon Dioxide, a waste product, and turning it into Crude Oil or even Petroleum, which are vital industrial resources. They also produce a relatively large amount of Meat and can thus solve a lot of problems in your base at once. We showcase two different ranch designs that can fit within the same overall structure; one with long, horizontal rooms, and one with tall, vertical rooms. Both have different pros and cons but you just need to make sure there's plenty of Carbon Dioxide for these guys to breathe and that you don't let other gases into the ranch, as Slicksters can quite easily suffocate themselves on random gas pockets.
