Como Blitzball’s top players and personalities go head-to-head in an intense, competitive, and cold-weather 2v2 Blitzball Championship with cash on the line. Eight players entered the tournament chasing bragging rights and the bag — now only two teams remain.

Each team played three games in round robin play. The #1 seed earned a bye straight to the championship, the #2 and #3 seeds battled it out in the semifinals, and now it all comes down to one game.

CHAMPIONSHIP – MUSTANGS vs RIPTIDES
The #1 seed Riptides come into this championship as the favorites after finishing first in the regular season and earning a bye to this final. They’ve been the most complete two-man squad all tournament.

Hudson Borgmeyer has been phenomenal on the mound, especially with his knuckledrop locating in the cold conditions. Pair that with two true two-way players, and the Riptides are dangerous on both sides of the ball. Both Hudson Borgmeyer and Tyler Davis are swinging it well at the plate, each using the Blitzball Torpedo Bat, and they already beat the Mustangs in their first matchup earlier in the tournament.

Standing in their way is the #3 seed Mustangs, coming into the championship with serious momentum. They just won a thriller in the semifinals against the Wolves to get here, and they’ve been putting together quality at-bats and finding ways to win.

This game likely runs through Sammy Reazer, the #3 ranked Blitzball player, who will need a big performance to take down the Riptides’ two-man squad. Lucas Whitworth has been solid throughout the tournament as well, contributing both at the plate and on the mound.
For the Mustangs to pull this off, this will need to be their best game yet.
