Learn to use J mold or trim at the eaves as a stucco stop where no blocking is okay.
J trim usually terminates stucco at vertical seams or surrounds windows and doors on commercial buildings where expansions may be an issue.
Why use J Trim as a stucco stop. Sometimes we all have to improvise.
In this video, I’ll show you one of the uses of J trims as a stucco stop near the rafters of this home. Typically this isn’t necessary as the wood pieces with the vent hole protrude from this area by 7/8″, giving us this stop.
