Living up to its name, "Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle," the HR-V has redefined the compact crossover segment by blending sedan-like handling with SUV versatility.
Prototype (J-WJ Concept, 1997): The legendary foundation of the HR-V. It introduced the "High-rider" lifestyle and paved the way for the first generation.
1st Gen (GH, 1998–2006): Known as the "Joy Machine," it featured a unique boxy silhouette. A 2001 facelift refined the bumpers and lighting for a more modern look.
2nd Gen (RU, 2013–2022): Revived based on the "Urban SUV Concept." It gained fame for its coupe-like profile and innovative hidden rear door handles.
