Episode SEVEN of my occasional series, West Country Yap - anecdotal conversations with people of the UK West Country - Devon, Somerset, and now for the first time in this series, Cornwall. I'm hoping to expand the series to include more people from Cornwall and possibly Dorset in future episodes. The purpose being to record the dialects of the South West of England, in order to preserve a record of the accents - in particular, the older generations, who tend to speak with broader accents. Broad dialects are gradually being lost over time, and the accents becoming weaker among the younger generation.
