Arabic
كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قُلْنَا:
السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ…
فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ

Roman Arabic
Kunnā idhā ṣallaynā khalf an-nabiyyi ﷺ qul-nā:
as-salāmu ‘alā Allāhi min ‘ibādih…
fa-qāla an-nabiyyu ﷺ:
inna Allāha Huwa as-Salām.

English
“We used to say in prayer: ‘Peace be upon Allah from His servants.’
The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Indeed, Allah is As-Salām.’”

“There is no one who sends salām upon me except that Allah returns my soul to me so that I may return his salām.”
