An overview of the Cantonese names for 'hands', strikes, and concepts you learn early on.
SPECIAL NOTE: the 捶 is probably better written as 搥. While both characters literally mean to beat/pound on something, the 垂 in one character means to droop down, while the 追 in the other means to chase, connoting a more straightforward action.
For reference, the characters used are given below. Chinese words typically have a broad range of meanings that depend on context (and sometimes on region).
