The SMS READY control strip is used to check CMYK or CMYKOGV colours in entire print jobs - whether there are SMS colours present or not.
If the colours of the SMS READY control strip are incorrect, either a mistake has been made in the creation of the PDF - or you are printing on incorrect paper.
