The short film “Digital Crime Has Real Life Consequences” has been produced under SACMID’s ongoing initiative “Empowering Media Professionals, Girl Students, and Community Women through an Improved Understanding of Digital Threats and Security Measures.” The project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh, aims to raise awareness about the growing risks of digital threats and promote safer online practices among women and media practitioners. The initiative is being implemented in three districts Cumilla, Sirajganj, and Khulna — where participants are being equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify, prevent, and respond to digital security challenges effectively.
