Sherrone Moore was arraigned on Friday in a Washtenaw County courtroom facing three charges. He is accused of breaking into a woman's home, with whom he had a relationship, and threatening to take his own life. Allegedly, Moore said, “I’m gonna kill myself, I’m gonna make you watch,” and “my blood is on your hands, you ruined my life.”
Prosecutors stated that Moore left the residence after the victim threatened to contact a lawyer and the police.
On Wednesday, the university released a statement indicating that an investigation found “credible evidence” of Moore being “engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.” The announcement revealed that Moore, who is married and has three daughters, was terminated immediately and for cause.
Moore faces charges of third-degree home invasion, a felony, along with one count of misdemeanor stalking and one count of misdemeanor breaking and entering/illegal entry without permission, as per the criminal complaint.
Moore’s bond has been set at $25,000.
