Harper and Mom taking back and forth using PODD

Описание: Harper and Mom chatting outside on the patio. If I let her Harper she would never stop pointing at the book. I literally have to stop her and give her a high tech to explore. We are mainly using the light tech these days so she can have the social interaction that comes much more natural with a smart partner. This type of interaction doesn’t always come easy for her so we really want to practice these skills. With high tech Harper will just gets lost in the act of pushing buttons, making patterns, all very genius stuff but not back and forth communication.

In this clip Harper is saying the same things over and over. I’m attempting to expand on what she’s saying by adding to her message such as “like this”. Also trying to model multiple words on a page and draw her attention to the navigation “back to page one”. She used to know this but for some reason stopped using the navigation and just keeps raising her hand. As cute as it is, she doesn’t need to keep raising it each time she wants to start a new sentence/message.

This kid has had a rough few weeks. She got bit a million times by a bug and she was extremely self injurious around the bites. This totally threw her off her norm but after a week with hands in socks 🤦🏻‍♀️ she is looking better and acting more like herself. Thank gooodness.

What a great PODD-er this kid is! Love her enthusiasm to explore.
