These boats have served their time, done their work and are now being left to be reclaimed by the ocean, sinking into the foreshore. Photogenic, but sad and abandoned, I wonder what tales they could tell - of fisher-folk battling against the elements to hew a living from the harsh sea mistress... Stories of lives well lived, of hardship and obstacles, but ultimately of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity...
It is a place that is definitely worth a visit and perhaps an interesting subject for a more thoughtful, slower piece, in black and white or sepia toned, for another time, I think...
