Описание: CAR SHOW - HOT RODS AND CLASSIC CARS -& TRUCKS - On Saturday, August 23rd, we dodge the rain showers and went to the Cruisin for Cothron Car Show in Cookeville, Tennessee. This car show was held in the big parking lot at the fairly new Putnam Country Expo Center. A really nice place to hold a car show indeed! I think the weather kept several folks away, but there were over 100 cars in attendance. Saw a lot of folks I haven't seen in a while, plus others I just recently spoke to at the Sparta and Walling car shows.

Some Background - The proceeds from the show to go fund the Adam Cothron Cruisin Past Adversity Scholarship." This was created in honor of Tennessee State Trooper Adm Cothron who was shot in the line of duty during a traffic stop in July 2024 in Putnam County Tennessee. As the show flier states "Applicants must demonstrate how they have encountered hardship, but persevered through adversity and committed themselves to a successful future as Trooper Cothron has."

COOL OLD CARS, RUSTY OLD JUNK, & ODDBALL ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS

Howdy Folks! We are Bill & Kristi, and this is our YouTube Channel, @MeanderingAcrossAmerica.

CAR SHOWS - We mainly are MEANDERING to LOCAL and REGIONAL Car Shows several times a month near our home in Crossville, Tennessee from March through October. HOWEVER, we love going to shows all over the U.S.A. If there is a car show nearby, you can bet we will be there and ready to video!

We love ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS & Road Trips of any type. Just love hitting the road and seeing things. Though it might not be cars or car shows, we do like OLD and we like ODD.

Our love for "old stuff" extends to going to yard sales, nationwide yard sales (127 Yard Sale for example in early August), stopping to look at cool old buildings, and admiring rusty old junk.
