Launching our new campus in India | 🇮🇳🎓

Описание: This May, the University of Liverpool announced its new campus in Bengaluru, representing a major chapter in UK–India educational collaboration.

The announcement was made at a high-profile event in New Delhi, where the Honourable Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, formally handed over the letter of intent from India’s University Grants Commission to Vice-Chancellor Professor Tim Jones. The event was also attended by Lindy Cameron CB OBE, British High Commissioner to India, University Grants Commission (UGC) interim Chairperson Vineet Joshi, British Council Country Director India, Alison Barrett MBE, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement and Partnerships at the University of Liverpool, Professor Tariq Ali, and University of Liverpool Chief Operating Officer, Lucy Everest.

Whilst launching the campus, University of Liverpool senior leaders also signed memoranda of understanding (MoU)s to explore future collaborative opportunities with companies and organisations including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, YouWeCan and Dream11.

A second celebratory event in Delhi was hosted by Lindy Cameron CB OBE, British High Commissioner to India.

Following the New Delhi events, the University delegation travelled to Bengaluru, Karnataka for another prestigious launch celebration.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Siddaramaiah attended the event alongside Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, Minister for Higher Education, Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri M.B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development and Chandru Iyer, British Deputy High Commissioner in Bengaluru.

In Bengaluru, the University signed Memoranda of Understanding with Wipro Limited, Axis Bank, TiE Bangalore and Garden City University.
