Motivation:
Over the past decade, the actor, Josefin Neldén, has appeared in a number of acclaimed performances at Backa Teater, in her hometown of Gothenburg.
On both the stage and the screen, her concentrated presence and striking interpretations have left a strong impression. Her acting is characterised by an effort to always reach as far and as deep as possible. In the role that brought her to the attention of a larger audience, the union-committed waitress, Maggan, in the TV series Vår tid är nu, she portrays with great sensitivity a life story and a development story that extends over the three seasons of the series.
For her exact interpretations, subtle expressions and versatile acting, Josefin Neldén is awarded a scholarship for 2020 from the Sten A Olsson Foundation for Research and Culture.
