Jane Elliott is a former school teacher and anti-racism advocate. She is most well known for an experiment she conducted in Riceville, Iowa, directly following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. In her study, Elliott discriminated between white students with brown-eyes and blue-eyes in an effort to teach her kids empathy. Some people believe that the experiment was successful, while others say that it taught the subjects white guilt.

Elliott's work is more relevant than ever. She has famously been a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show five times and she's recently had national TV appearances, including one on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
