Join NYMTC’s December 10 Brown Bag to learn about the Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) Program being used for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
WIM technology reveals the extent to which overweight vehicles contribute to premature structural wear and is used as an automated overweight vehicle enforcement and structural preservation strategy.
For the interagency community of New York City, this integrated approach to asset management represents more than a technological advancement. It is a paradigm shift toward data-integrated stewardship, where real-time information feeds capital planning, maintenance prioritization, and operational enforcement in a unified framework.
