Описание: The Rajput Regiment is one of the most venerable and decorated infantry formations of the Indian Army, tracing its illustrious lineage back to the 18th century and the British Indian Army's Bengal Native Infantry. Its regimental centre is ensconced in Fatehgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The regiment is renowned for its martial heritage, embodying the legendary valour and unwavering commitment to duty characteristic of the Rajput warrior ethos. Its indomitable spirit is encapsulated by the potent motto, "Sarvatra Vijay," meaning 'Victory Everywhere,' and its powerful war cry, "Bol Bajrang Bali Ki Jai!". Throughout history, the Rajput Regiment has performed with exceptional distinction. It accumulated 37 battle honours during the World Wars and played a pivotal role in post-independence conflicts, including the wars of 1947, 1965 (notably the Battle of Dograi), 1971, and the Kargil conflict in 1999. Its soldiers have been conferred numerous gallantry awards, including the Param Vir Chakra.
