Did you know that one of the biggest key components of a successful sale is exposure? And what offers you more exposure than Open Houses! Not many people know this, but there are a few different types of open houses that we host. Neighborhood Open House, Public Open House and Realtor Open House. Having different open houses will cater to different audiences but if done properly can be very effective. We’ll go over the 3 different types of Open Houses and explain why they are all effective in their own way.

Neighbourhood Open House:
The Neighbourhood Open House is an opportunity for your neighbours to come in before the general public. They can then invite their friends and family that may really like your neighbourhood and have a serious interest in seeing your home. Another reason we host Neighbourhood open houses is because, well let’s all face it, most of us have nosey neighbours that just want to come in and see your house. This is that opportunity to let them in before your public open house where serious perspective buyers come through.

Public Open House:
Public Open Houses are a great way to market your home to serious buyers. Often times, serious buyers choose to visit Open Houses because of convenience, they have more time to tour the home, and at their own leisure as well.

Realtor Open House:
The Realtor Open House is an opportunity for the Realtor to come tour the property to see if it’s a fit for their perspective buyers. We often see these same Realtors from the Realtor Open House schedule appointments later that same day.

It’s incredible the type of buzz and positive attention that an Open House can create. It’s something you and your Realtor should definitely consider and have as part of your marketing plan before your home goes up for sale!
