This revolutionary, and patented, method and system of controlling stage volume, lets you adjust the amps volume (25dB range) by way of a single knob on the front panel that varies the strength of the electromagnet on the speaker. You can also adjust its volume remotely via an optional foot pedal, or even have the FOH people control it through a spare channel on the wired snake.
Also you can use this FluxTone system as a "controllable extension cabinet" to tame another amp by simply jacking that other amplifiers output into the (External Amplifier) port on the back panel. This puts the onboard amp into standby, while letting you adjust the speakers output level. Most importantly this has NO effect on the touch, tone or feel of that other amp. There is no need to reset the settings on your amp after adjusting the magnet strength, because the FluxTone system never manipulates your signal...ALL of your amps power, overtones, and harmonics still go directly to the speakers voice coil. You are merely adjusting how far the cone moves. All this is accomplished with no effect on the way your amp feels or plays...no need to change the way you strike your strings...nothing changes except how loud your amp is.
All other guitar amp attenuators change the amount of power going to your speaker by running it through a series of resistors and other electronic parts that kill off certain overtones and harmonics that were created by overdriving the output tubes in your amp. Thats where those great tones were created in the first place. Also those other attenuators force you to adjust your amps settings as you try to recover your tone after you turn it down...not to mention how they squish your playing dynamics into a smaller space.
