We set off from the Pen-y-Pass car park at around 4am, heading up Crib Goch (923m) in the early hours of October 11th, 2025. With high humidity and pressure building, we had a feeling something special was in store.
As we scrambled through the mist and fog, the atmosphere was eerie yet peaceful and then, suddenly, we broke through the clouds. What awaited us above was nothing short of breathtaking.
We reached the summit just after 6am and waited patiently for the sun to rise. As it emerged, the sky ignited above a sea of cotton candy clouds. If heaven has a view, I hope it looks like this.
