Welcome back to Part 2 of my journey on Pakistan's newest airline – South Air.

In the previous vlog, I traveled on the inaugural Karachi to Islamabad flight. In this episode, I complete my return journey from Islamabad to Karachi via Bahawalpur aboard South Air's ATR 72 aircraft.

The adventure began with complete chaos at Islamabad Airport. After arriving from the first sector, I had to rush from the arrivals area back to the departure lounge for check-in. I was literally out of breath and reached the counter just as the ground staff announced that the flight had been closed. Thankfully, after a tense few moments, everything worked out and I was issued my boarding pass.

The cabin crew were pleasantly surprised to see me back onboard the same aircraft!

The biggest surprise of the day happened during our stop at Bahawalpur Airport. I requested the cabin crew to ask the captain if I could briefly visit the flight deck after landing. To my delight, the captain kindly welcomed me inside the cockpit. It was an unforgettable experience to sit inside the ATR 72 flight deck, learn about various controls and instruments, and take memorable photographs with both the Captain and First Officer.

The remainder of the flight to Karachi was smooth and comfortable. Snacks were served twice on this journey, meaning I enjoyed four snack services in a single day while flying on the inaugural flights.

Overall, South Air has made a promising start by connecting Pakistan's smaller regional airports with major cities like Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. If the airline maintains good service and reliability, it could play an important role in improving regional connectivity across Pakistan.
