Driving from Rishikesh to Haridwar

Описание: An evening drive from the foothills of the Himalaya, along the Ganga or Ganges river, further into the plains, from along the Ganga after Shivpuri where the river starts to enter the plains, to the plains town of Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Heavy truck, bus and passenger vehicle traffic marks this otherwise scenic route.

Haridwar is headquarters of Haridwar district and it has good connectivity with the other towns of the district and the state.

Haridwar is located very close to Rishikesh at a distance of around 20 Kms so most people choose to visit both places.

Haridwar and Rishikesh both are easily reachable by road and rail.

There is direct train from Rishikesh to Haridwar which is also a convenient travel option.

From Rishikesh to Haridwar Bus Service :- Regular bus services connect both the places, covering the distance in 20 to 25 mins. Buses run frequently (at least every half hour) and are very economical. Besides, hiring taxi is another option to reach Haridwar.

Rishikesh is a wonderful place to be in with full of Temples, Yoga Ashrams and Teaching Institutes and Adventure Sports Clubs. Rishikesh is also a popular place for Camping, Rafting, Bungy Jumping and a lot of other Adventure Sports.
