National Pike Steam Show – A Hidden Gem in Brownsville, PA
This morning started off unexpectedly. Paul said, “I want to go to that equipment event in Brownsville today.” And just like that—we were on the road! It was our first time going, and he’d heard about it through YouTube and our son Tony. No major planning—just scribbled down the address, plugged it into the GPS, and we were off.
We did make a couple wrong turns (note to self: listen to the GPS better next time), but eventually found our way. From Fox’s Pizza in Brownsville, it’s only about 7 minutes or 4.5 miles to 222 Spring Rd, Brownsville, PA 15417. We passed yard sales and BBQs all set up along the route—clearly a great day for it!
We hit traffic near Spring Rd and spotted a flagger helping with the flow. That’s when we knew we’d made it. The event was bustling with vehicles and people coming and going.
