Chair Yoga is a great way to gently stretch and strengthen key muscles while staying safe and respecting your body's limits. Suitable for beginners and seniors. You won't need anything other than a chair, try to find one that doesn't have arms and one that has back support. We will start with 2 min mindful breathing.
Hi everyone, welcome to Yoga with Annie. This class is an easy chair yoga sequence that's suitable for all experience levels, a great yoga class for beginners, seniors, office workers who want to do yoga at their desk. In 20 minutes you will decrease stress and relieve sore and achy muscles and joints. As always, please go at a pace you are comfortable with and don’t push yourself. Remember to breathe (even though I’ll tell you 100 times)!
If you are a complete beginner I hope this gives you a great foundation on how to start and maintain a yoga practice. We move in and out of the poses fairly slowly to build body awareness and improve balance. Don't worry if you don't get all the poses correctly or if you need to take a break.
🧘♀️ Be patient with yourself, do what you can and remember to relax. This is a wonderful class to alleviate stress and anxiety.
🧘♀️If you're new to yoga, remember that the most important thing is to stay focused on your breath.
