Thiru Ayodhi (Ayodhya) is a significant Divya Desam, one of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples, home to the Rama Janma Bhoomi where Lord Rama was born, featuring the Sri Ramar Temple . The Perumal (Lord Rama) stands facing North, near the holy Sarayu River, considered a Mukti Kshetram (liberation spot). It's a revered place where devotees visit for spiritual solace and to experience the presence of Lord Rama, celebrated by Azhwars (saints) in Tamil hymns - Naalayira Divya Prabandham.
Kamavardhini (காமவர்தினி / कामवर्धिनि) is a musical mode (ragam) in Carnatic music (musical scale of South Indian or Dakshina sastriya sangeetham -classical music). Kamavardhini represents the 51st Melakarta rāgam in the 72 melakarta rāgam scheme of Carnatic music. Kamavardhani is also known as Pantuvarāḷi. The Hindustani music equivalent of Kamavardhini is the Poorvi thaat/Puriya Dhanashree.
Vellore A. R. Srinivasan is a Carnatic vocalist, percussionist and vaggeyakara (composer of both lyrics and music in the Carnatic {Classical} genre). Born to Smt.Pushpa Raghavan and Sri A.S.V.Raghavan on 6.11.1962 at Vellore, India, Srinivasan evinced interest in Carnatic music, but opportunities were scarce at that time.
An alumnus of Savio Nur#sery School Vellore, Sri Krishnaswamy Mudaliar High School Vellore, Voorhees College Vellore, Christian Medical College (CMC Vellore ) and Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore (CSIR,Govt. of India), Dr.Srinivasan obtained his PG degree in Medical Biochemistry from CMC Vellore and topped the University (Madras University Year 1987) and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Mysore University (Year 2000). Dr.Srinivasan is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at a medical college in Pondicherry, South India.
Dr.Srinivasan learnt informally in the beginning by listening to radio concerts and quite late in his life had learnt vocal, for a brief period, informally, from the Vidwans Sarvashri Sembiakudi S.Janakiraman and M.R.Srinivasan at Vellore and later from Bellary Sri M.Raghavendra at Mysore. Dr.Srinivasan learnt percussion (also much later in his life) from Vidwan Sri C.M.Kuttiappa at Vellore and the eminent Guru, Thiruvarur Sri R.Krishnamoorthy, Pondicherry.
As a vaggeyakara in classical carnatic music, Dr.Srinivasan has composed around 2500 compositions till date. Several compositions of Dr.Srinivasan were conceived impromptu.
As a percussionist, Srinivasan has accompanied several top-ranking musicians on many occasions on the percussion instruments (Khanjira and Morsing). To mention a few, Sarvashri T.V.Sankaranarayanan, Trissur V.Ramachandran, T.N.Seshagopalan, Rudrapatnam brothers R.N.Thyagarajan and Dr.R.N.Tharanathan, Neyveli R.Santanagopalan and Mysore brothers M.Nagaraj and Dr.M.Manjunath.
