Donald Trump Calls for Naval Coalition to Secure Strait of Hormuz Amid Iran Tensions

Описание: Amid rising tensions in West Asia, Donald Trump revealed that he has urged the leaders of seven countries to send warships to keep the strategic Strait of Hormuz open. The US administration is reportedly holding talks with several nations to form a coalition to ensure the safety of oil tankers and commercial shipping passing through the region.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while traveling from Florida to Washington, D.C., Trump said the United States has sufficient oil reserves and does not depend heavily on the Strait of Hormuz. However, he pointed out that China receives nearly 90% of its oil through the strait.

Trump also claimed that the US had destroyed the naval capabilities of Iran, warning that even two terrorists could create chaos in the narrow waterway. He further alleged that a recent video released by Iran was generated using Artificial Intelligence.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints, through which a large portion of global oil shipments pass, making any instability in the region a major concern for global trade and energy security.
