This bus has (well, now, had) two rooftop emergency exit hatches which the customer wanted removed. They interfered with the planned solar panel locations and didn't align with the customer's plans for fan and skylight installation locations. So, the best option was to remove them and seal them up, permanently, prior to insulation and the ceiling installation.
The rivets used are stainless steel, 3/16-inch diameter. The adhesive sealant is 3M 5200...and, yes, I realized when editing that I mentioned that about a million times! I guess I just get excited by reliable polyurethane adhesive/sealants...I'm a geek at heart.
