Disability is currently the most under-represented minority group both on and off-screen. Data from Creative Diversity Network (CDN) states that at the current rate, it will take till 2041 for us to reflect the UK’s disabled population of 20%.
This is not good enough and we need to take action – fast. This session unites disabled freelancers from across the television industry to present creative and ingenious solutions to break through barriers – from excessive working hours, non-conventional CVs, inaccessible offices, intersectionality, ignorance and that old chestnut - discrimination and ableism. It’s time for non-disabled people to stop talking and listen up as disabled freelancers give it to them straight.

George Robinson, Actor, Sex Education
Shari De Silva, Production Manager
Kate Ansell, Executive Producer
Stu Richards, comedy writer, director & CEO of Rockerdale Studios
Deborah Williams, Executive Director, Creative Diversity Network (CDN)
