BIOGRAFIA
I MeneGuinness nascono nell'aprile del 2012 grazie a un'idea di Kia e Jan, folletti trasferitisi dalle brughiere d'Irlanda a Brugherio in Brianza (una scelta ammirevole!). Innamorati della musica tradizionale irlandese e del punk-rock celtico trovano nell'orobico Danny,l'esperto di meteo, cresciuto a pane e folk, il compagno ideale di viaggio. I tre ubriaconi girano per un po' di tempo i pub dell'isola di Smeraldo suonando in session sgangherate con dementi locali e obesi turisti americani. Una sera a Dublino dall'Halfpenny Bridge ripescano Lucius, storico chitarrista dei Vallanzaska, finito ubriaco nel fiume Liffey durante un tour della sua band nell'intento di attraversare il mare d'Irlanda a nuoto per tornare a casa. I MeneGuinness rimangono folgorati dalla sua impresa: sarà lui il gratta-corde della band. Tornati in Italia, i quattro si mettono alla ricerca di qualcosa che possa dare un ritmo alle loro avventure alcoliche. Nei bagni di un pub del lecchese incontrano Martino, bassista metal nostrano sceso dalla Val Chiavenna, intento a riversare nel wc i postumi di un'abbuffata di pizzoccheri e Sassella. Anche questa impresa finisce per ammaliare i 4 MeneGuinness. Sarà Martino il bassista (punk) della band. Durante un'esibizione per la riapertura estiva (sotto la neve) del Passo dello Stelvio, su palco piomba Andreas, uno strano crucco abitante dei boschi della Val Pusteria, con un tamburo di fabbricazione propria in pelle di capra e 75 piatti, che si impone a forza di rullate e suoni incomprensibili come batterista della band. Nel giugno del 2012 inizia a Dubino (manca una L, ma a loro va bene lo stesso) l'avventura dei 6 scapestrati lombardi. Dal novembre 20012 alla batteria arriva il bellissimo Bini. Si sa, una band ha bisogno anche di qualcuno che sappia acchiappare ragazze. E allora il Bini, con il suo charme mediterraneo e il suo stile silenzioso, si occuperà di battere i tamburi al ritmo del folk e di far strappare i capelli alle ragazze.

MeneGuinness are formed in April 2012 thanks to Kia and Jan, two goblins who moved from the moors of Ireland to Milan (an admirable choice!). As lovers of traditional Irish music and Celtic punk-rock, they find in Danny, an expert of weather forecasts raised with bread and Irish folk, the ideal journey companion. The three drunks wander for a while around the pubs of the island of Emerald, playing in rickety sessions with local idiots and obese American tourists. One evening in Dublin, from the Halfpenny Bridge they fish out Lucius, the historical guitarist of the Vallanzaska ska band, who got drunk and fell into the the Liffey during a tour of his band trying to cross the Irish Sea to swim back home. MeneGuinness are amazed by his endeavour: he will be the strings scratcher of the band. Back in Italy, the four set out in search of something that could give a rhythm to their alcoholic adventures. In the toilets of a local pub in Lecco they meet Martin, a local metal bassist who fell from Val Chiavenna, intent to pour into the toilet the consequences of a binge of red wine. This endeavor charms the four MeneGuinness: Martin will be the punk bassist of the band. During a concert for the summer re opening (in the snow) of the Stelvio Pass, on the stage falls Andreas Kraut, a strange inhabitant of the woods of Val Pusteria, with a self-made goatskin drum and 75 cymbals, who thanks to his rolled and incomprehensible sounds establishes himself as the drummer of the band. On June 2012, in Dubin (there is no L, but that's okay for them), the adventure takes place. From November 2012, the beautiful Bini comes to the drums and percussions. As you know, a band also need someone able to catch girls. And so Bini, with his Mediterranean charm and his "silent style" will play the drums to the rhythm of folk and get young women to tear their hair out.
