2023 Simola Hillclimb: Volkswagen delivers the goods with Petter Solberg and the Polo R WRX machine

Its always been one of my favourite events and one I’ve competed in a few times, but it will be tough to match this years event!

Volkswagen Motorsport ZA really delivered the goods, absolutely owning the Hill by bringing their most successful machine - the Polo R WRX double championship winning car - and piloted by the legendary Petter Solberg

To be a part of this entire process from the start and look after the content creation was such an incredible treat - thank you to the Volkswagen Motorsport team and especially Mike Rowe, to the drivers Jonathan Mogotsi, Daniel Rowe, Graeme Nathan and Henning Solberg, the pit crew AND especially my team - insane hours, crazy deadlines but a project we can all be so proud of!

Thank you too to Phil Barrett - you made a miracle happen getting this special machine out of the museum in Wolfsburg and back to South Africa!

BUT the biggest thank you must go to Petter…the ultimate showman with insane motoring abilities BUT most importantly, a humble man with all the time in the world for his fans! Thank you…was so good to see and work with you again!
