World Record: 78.42 MHP over the standing quarter mile (on its debut outing)
The heavily modified Peel Trident was built by DG Engineering and members of the DIY gas turbine team. The purpose built gas turbine jet engine complete with a full reheat afterburner was designed and built by DIYGT member Andrew Morris from Heanor in Derbyshire and was driven by Dan Goodwin from Kent.
The team is planning to return with the Jet Peel trident in the new year, with more power and attempt to break the 100 MPH barrier.
