Karyn Hamilton is a professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University and an associate director at CSU's Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging. The goal of Hamilton's research is to understand the role of adaptation to stresses and maintenance of a functional mitochondrial proteome in the context of
extending healthspan and maintaining function with aging.
In this talk, Hamilton describes findings from three sets of studies that examine whether exercise extends healthspan when combined with particular therapeutics, including metformin, SGLT2 inhibitors, and Nrf2 activators.
