We sail to Baie Maa to hide from the South Easterly trade winds for a couple of days. While we're there we explore the area and it seems that no one is around. Where are all the people? We walk through a village that maybe only has visitors over summer, and then discover an abandoned home right out on the headland. There are fruit trees to forage and when the weather lets up we finish with a fire on the beach. Discovering New Caledonia, one anchorage at a time...
