Hamid Karzai speaks freedom of the press, Education system is much better than 10 years ago with exchange programs and grants for sending students overseas. President Karzai highlights that after many years of turmoil Afghanistan is now a country for all walks of life to be free.
He admits that the area of which Afghanistan is not happy with is security, going on to say that NATO and the USA did not strategise it's approach the way they wanted them to. Bombing villages and conducting night raids was wrong. Terrorism is not found in Afghan homes but elsewhere. All the Afghan people desire is peace in the region. 2014 marks the departure of foreign forces and the first election in Afghanistan that will be conducted independent of any outside help. He speaks of the bi-lateral security agreement (BSA) where a grand council of around 3000 people from all walks of life will consider all points of the agreement that will then be handed over to the United States. Hopefully then the USA will respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and stop killing innocent civilians in efforts to find terror suspects.
In conclusion Hamid Karzai states that the Afghanistan of tomorrow will be one tourists want to visit and a nation that will be less of a burden on the international community.
